The Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) is proud to announce its official engagement with the Eastern Regional Organization for Planning and Human Settlements, a distinguished international platform advancing sustainable urban development across the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of this important milestone, IAB is participating for the first time in the 30th EAROPH World Congress 2026, held in the historic city of Melaka. This globally recognized forum brings together architects, policymakers, planners, and thought leaders to exchange ideas and collaborate on shaping the future of resilient, inclusive, and sustainable cities.
Representing IAB at this landmark event, under the leadership of President Ar. Dr. Abu Sayeed M Ahmed, are Vice-President (International Relations) Ar. Mahfuzul Haq Zaglul and General Secretary Ar. Dr. Masud Ur Rashid.
This inaugural participation marks a significant step in strengthening IAB’s international engagement and fostering meaningful collaboration in architecture, planning, and human settlements at a global scale.
We are also pleased to note that the next EAROPH World Congress 2027 will be hosted in Utsunomiya, continuing this important regional dialogue.
