On June 23, 2025, IAB President Ar. Dr. Abu Sayeed Mostaque Ahmed led a delegation of landscape architects and urban designers to meet with Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministries of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Water Resources.
They discussed the ecological value of Dhaka’s wetlands and Bangladesh’s broader landscapes, exploring opportunities for conservation and sustainable development. The IAB team also presented on Scope and Opportunity for Ecological Conservation and Aesthetic Enhancement of the Goranchatbari retention Pond Area and riverbank of Turag for Sustainable Urban Living and Nature-Based Recreation in Dhaka
This meeting highlights a shared commitment by both government and professionals to foster environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and nature-integrated urban living in Bangladesh.
