For the first time in the history of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), an Executive Council (EC) monthly meeting was held outside the IAB Center, Dhaka — marking a significant milestone. The 12th EC Meeting of the 26th Executive Council took place on 17th October 2025 at the IAB Chattogram Chapter, symbolizing a new step toward decentralization and inclusivity.
The decision to host the meeting in Chattogram was inspired by the chapter’s growing engagement and the number of agenda items related to its activities. All members of the Chattogram Chapter Committee were joined the meeting to discuss in relavant agenda, which led to productive discussions on future strategies, directions, and collaborative pathways for the Chapter.
The meeting was marked by a spirit of camaraderie, insightful exchanges, and the warm traditional hospitality that Chattogram is known for.
IAB looks forward to continuing such meaningful engagements with other Chapters and Centres in the days ahead — strengthening the collective vision and unity of the architectural community across the country.
