​Congratulations to Studio Morphogenesis Ltd. on the UIA 2030 Award Commendation!

The Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) proudly congratulates Architects Saiqa Iqbal Meghna and Suvro Sovon Chowdhury of Studio Morphogenesis Ltd. on receiving a Commendation in Category 4: Participatory, Land-use Efficient and Inclusive Planning (SDG 11) at the third cycle of the UIA 2030 Award.

Their project, IDS Industrial Precinct Masterplan, was recognized for its holistic approach to peri-urban development, participatory planning, and the thoughtful integration of inclusive community spaces—including the Zebun Nessa Mosque, washing hub, and existing industrial buildings—creating a model for sustainable and people-centered development.

The awards were announced on 20 May 2026 during the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan, celebrating architectural projects that contribute meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This international recognition is a proud moment for Bangladesh’s architectural community and highlights the growing global impact of Bangladeshi architects in shaping resilient, inclusive, and sustainable built environments.
